Skype dissapointed me so bad. I have skype account for over 10 years now. And just 2 days ago I got a charge of 75 usd to my paypal. I did not read the email in details, I thought that somebody hacked my skype and charged my paypal.

Because I have automatic payment for skype via paypal that always takes only 10 usd when my credit is empty. So I saw 73 usd charge and I immediately contacted paypal and they charged back the money.

But later on I found out it was in fact legit charge for skype phone number renewal. And I canceled the dispute with paypal. Too late.

Skype immediately blocked my account and now I can't use my skype account for making calls. I have 10 usd credity on that account and I can't get it back. It is that bad. I tried to restore my account and they want all the personal data they can get.

THe strangest question from skype was when I created my skype account. They wanted to know the month and the year for god sake. How the hell would you know when you first created skype? I do not get it. So I have to use special database program to get a special time key, then convert that key to real time.....

I got a reply from skype:

Thank you for contacting Skype.

I've carefully reviewed your account details and information provided in the form. After a thorough analysis, I'm sorry to say that you did not pass verification. We at Skype value the security of your account very highly and since I'm not able to verify your identity, I cannot unblock your account.

I can't believe this is happening. THey just want me to ditch this skype account, where I have 10 usd unused credit and just create a new skype account. What a crazy company. I do not get it. So people beware, when you charge back from skype, they might just take your account for ever. Stupid strict verification rules that they have are out of this planet. It is like asking you Hey, what did you do 10 years ago, on specific day.

F U Skype.
